A new language

Every journey eventually asks for a new language.

✨ Brightest Stars in Dark Times ✨

When I began this series, I simply wanted to pause.
Amid headlines filled with conflict, anxiety, climate change, inequality, and uncertainty, I wanted to look in a different direction.

Not away from darkness.
But towards the people, places, and ideas that continue to bring light.
Over the past months, we reflected on happiness, courage, belonging, tradition, freedom, meaning, hope, and care.

What surprised me most was not the conversations these reflections generated.
It was how often they changed the person writing them.
Each post began with an observation.
Most ended with a question.
I gradually realised that certainty rarely brings people together.
Questions do.

The more I reflected, the more I found myself returning to one question above all others.

What kind of human beings must we become to flourish together on a fragile planet?

I searched for answers in research.
In conversations.
In travel.
In art.
And increasingly, I discovered that some answers cannot be explained.
They have to be experienced.

This is therefore not really the end of a series.
It is the end of one way of telling stories.
Over the coming weeks, I will step back for a short while.
Not to stop writing.
But to learn a different language.

One that begins with imagination rather than argument.
One that speaks to children as naturally as it speaks to adults.
One that explores care, belonging, courage, and hope through stories rather than reflections.

I cannot wait to share it with you.

Thank you for walking this path with me.
And for reminding me that even in dark times, there are always bright stars.
Sometimes we simply have to learn how to look for them.
