A Weekly LinkedIn Series (2026)

In 2026, I am publishing a weekly LinkedIn series titled “Brightest Stars in Dark Times.”

The series explores a simple but often overlooked truth: even in the darkest chapters of human history, light does not disappear. It persists in unexpected places.

These “stars” are not only individuals. They also include institutions, social practices, community rituals, ethical innovations, and quiet infrastructures of care that sustain dignity when cruelty, fear, or indifference seem to dominate.

The aim is not to deny crisis. It is to rebalance the lens through which we interpret it.

Why This Series?

Public discourse is saturated with narratives of decline, fragmentation, and institutional breakdown. These dynamics are real and demand serious analysis. Yet an exclusive focus on collapse obscures the elements of society that continue to generate trust, responsibility, and solidarity.

This series makes those elements visible.

It is grounded in a broader intellectual commitment to care, governance, and human flourishing. My research explores what I call Homo Curans, the caring human. “Brightest Stars in Dark Times” translates this idea into weekly reflections on historical and contemporary examples of care as a social force.

What Counts as a “Star”?

A “brightest star” may be:

  • A person who chose responsibility over conformity

  • A local initiative that protected dignity under pressure

  • An institution that resisted capture or corruption

  • A cultural practice that sustained belonging

  • An act of solidarity that altered the course of events

  • A quiet social infrastructure that made trust possible

Some stories are historical. Others are contemporary. Some are well known. Others are easily overlooked.

Each post offers a short narrative, a contextual reflection, and a question for further thought.
